Experience the convenience of family safety services with the OnStar Guardian® app. Our comprehensive range of services includes Roadside Assistance, help in a crash, family locator, and Emergency Services. No matter where you are, we are dedicated to providing peace of mind for you and your loved ones – whether you're in a vehicle, on a motorcycle, or even at home using your smart speaker. Eligible OnStar Members automatically receive access to the OnStar Guardian app as part of their plan. For those without a membership, a standalone plan is available for only $15 per month. Additionally, you can share the app with up to 7 friends or family members at no extra cost.

Mobile Crash Response

• Automatically detects car accidents and sends for help
• Utilizes smartphone sensors to detect collisions and alert an OnStar Advisor
• Provides assistance in a crash for any vehicle or motorcycle

Roadside Assistance

• Stay prepared and avoid being stranded on the road
• Jump-start dead batteries, receive assistance with flat tires, and even have fuel delivered or request a tow
• Offers Roadside Assistance for any type of vehicle or motorcycle

Location Status

• Maintain togetherness even when physically apart
• Utilize the family locator feature to share and save real-time locations
• View live maps and receive departure and arrival notifications

Emergency Services

• Immediate assistance when needed most
• The red Emergency button grants priority access to an OnStar Emergency Advisor 24/7
• Receive specialized support for medical emergencies, severe weather situations, and more, while our Advisors dispatch First Responders to your precise location

The OnStar Guardian skill for Amazon Alexa

• Access Emergency Services directly from the comfort of your own home
• Simply ask for help using your compatible Amazon Alexa-enabled device
• Link your OnStar Guardian with your Amazon account to enable this feature

Please note that OnStar Guardian service plan is currently available only in the U.S. and Canada. The OnStar Guardian app can be used on select Apple devices. To utilize the service, a cell reception, GPS signal, and device data connection are required. It may not transmit all crash data. If you wish to cancel at any time, please call 1.888.4ONSTAR (1.888.466.7827).

The Location Status services are designed to locate compatible smartphones with Location Services permission enabled. The functionality may vary depending on your mobile device and plan. Data rates may apply, and terms and limitations also apply.

Roadside services are provided by Signature Motor Club, Inc., a member of the Allstate family of companies. Please note that these services are available for passenger vehicles (cars and trucks) and motorcycles only. Certain limitations and restrictions may apply. Towing services can be used up to four times per year, after which additional charges will apply. Additional charges also apply to tire changes when a spare tire is not provided.

The "My Family" section within the app allows you to add up to seven additional individuals.

Please be aware that the usage of the OnStar Guardian skill and associated OnStar services requires successful account linking with Amazon Alexa. You will also need to complete a safety profile that includes an accurate and up-to-date physical address of the Alexa-enabled device. It is essential to confirm and update the physical address within the OnStar Guardian app. Additionally, a device data connection is necessary for the service to function properly.
